Experience

Using our experience, Coastcom Security can source and provide the best state-of-the-art security hardware and software to protect your property.

Monitored Alarm Systems
Unlike other unmonitored alarm systems, Coastcom Security monitored alarm systems guarantee a rapid and reliable response to security breaches at your home. In the event of alarm activation, Coastcom Security will respond according to your pre-approved requests.

If a genuine breach of security has occurred, the response may be to send a professional security patrol officer or police personnel to your premises. Coastcom Security alarm monitoring provides notification of activation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, securing your peace of mind around the clock.

Movement Detectors
Coastcom Security offers a range of movement/motion detectors to sense and signal movement and body heat while you're away from your home. Most detectors use Passive Infra-Red (PIR) technology, providing the most successful and economical means of intrusion detection for your family.

Panic Buttons
Panic or emergency buttons trigger the alarm system in the event of emergency or duress, allowing the Coastcom Security control panel to respond to the situation immediately. Keep panic buttons in easy reach of each of your family members to secure your peace of mind and ensure a comfortable nights sleep.

Pet Sensors
To avoid false activation of your Coastcom Security monitored alarm system, pet sensors can be installed to recognise movement from domestic animals, giving you the freedom to leave your family pet indoors while you're away from your home.

Reed Switches (door and window sensors)
Reed switches are magnetic switches used to detect the opening of doors and windows and are highly effective in providing 'perimeter' protection.

Remote Buttons
Coastcom Security alarm systems can be easily armed and disarmed with the convenience of a remote control small enough to be fitted to your key ring.

Sirens and Strobes
In the event of alarm activation, sirens and strobes create a visual and audible awareness that your home is monitored, disturbing intruders in the act.

Smoke Detectors and Fire Alarms
Smoke detectors are used to sense the presence of smoke particles in the air, as well as radiant heat from a fire. Coastcom Security can provide 24/7 monitoring of your smoke and fire detectors, provided they are certified by a fire protection company.

Backup Systems
The majority of monitored alarms installed today use Digital Dialler technology. This technology is totally reliant upon the use of standard telephone lines. If the telephone line is cut, the monitoring facility is lost and the system reverts to a Local Alarm. The Control Room will be unaware of the problem until the system goes delinquent.

In today's volatile world, most insurance companies are insisting that higher levels of alarm communications
be used. The Coastcom Security Control Room has been fitted with a number of backup systems designed to comply with these requirements.

Securitel
Securitel is service provided by Telstra. A small Black Box called a S.T.U (Stew) is connected to your telephone line at the premises. A device in the Telephone Exchange called a Scanner continually asks the S.T.U. if it is there. If there is no reply, the Scanner assumes that the telephone line has been cut and notifies the Control Room via a duplicated link. This service is only available in certain areas. Check with our office to find out if yours is included.

Guardcell
The Guardcell unit is installed near your existing alarm panel. This unit is completely stand-alone and monitors the operation of the alarm control panel and the phone line. If the phone line is cut, it immediately notifies the problem to the Control Room via the G.S.M. Digital Telephone Network. It will also relay any alarm reports to the Control Room.

This is a dual reporting system. Even of the phone line is cut, the Control Room still receives all alarm reports. You do not have to wait for Telstra to fix any line faults before your alarm can again report to the Control Room.

CCTV and Video Verification
CCTV systems are the eyes on your property that never close, high level security for your home. CCTV reduces the incidence of shop stealing and internal theft, while protecting stock out-of-hours.

CCTV cameras strategically located at the site will provide live video images to our Control Room. This is perfect for verifying Hold-Up alarms, Fire alarms, and Burglary alarms.
